Short Answer
Skill Trend Charts plot your practice scores over time so you can see exactly how skills like discovery, objection handling, closing, and executive presence are improving week over week. Instead of just seeing a score after each session, you get a clear trajectory that answers the bigger question: am I actually getting better?
We are excited to announce Skill Trend Charts - a new way to visualize your improvement across key sales skills over time.
Until now, you could see your scores after each practice session. That is useful for immediate feedback, but it does not answer the bigger question: Am I actually getting better?
Skill Trend Charts answer that question with data.
What You Will See
After your practice sessions, RolePractice.ai scores you across specific skills depending on the scenario type. With Skill Trend Charts, those scores are now plotted over time so you can see clear trajectories for:
- Discovery Quality - Are you asking better questions? Are you uncovering real pain instead of surface-level problems?
- Objection Handling - Are you responding to pushback more effectively? Are you acknowledging concerns before redirecting?
- Closing Technique - Are you advancing conversations toward next steps more consistently?
- Executive Presence - Are you communicating with the brevity and business focus that senior buyers expect?
Each skill gets its own trend line. You can view your progress over the last 7 days, 30 days, or 90 days.
Before and After Comparisons
One of the most powerful views is the before/after comparison. Select any two time periods and see your scores side by side. This is especially useful for:
- New hires tracking their ramp progress week over week
- Reps preparing for a promotion who need to demonstrate skill growth
- Managers reviewing a rep's development during 1:1s
- Teams measuring the impact of a new methodology rollout
If your team adopted MEDDPICC last quarter and you want to see whether discovery scores improved, the before/after view gives you a clear answer.
How It Works
Every practice session generates skill scores based on your actual conversation. The AI evaluates specific behaviors - not just whether you asked a question, but whether the question was well-constructed, well-timed, and moved the conversation forward.
Those scores feed into your trend charts automatically. No extra setup required. Just keep practicing and the data builds itself.
For Managers and Team Leads
If you manage a team, Skill Trend Charts give you something you have probably never had before: objective data on skill development over time.
Instead of relying on gut feel or call shadowing to assess rep growth, you can look at trend data across your entire team. Identify who is improving fastest, who has plateaued, and where to focus coaching time.
You can also use the data in performance reviews. "Your objection handling score improved 34% over the last quarter" is a much more concrete conversation than "I think you've been doing better on calls."
Why This Matters
Most sales training fails because there is no feedback loop. Reps attend a workshop, try the techniques for a week, and gradually drift back to old habits. Without measurement, there is no accountability and no way to know if the training worked.
Skill Trend Charts close that loop. When reps can see their own improvement - or lack of it - they stay motivated to keep practicing. When managers can see team-wide trends, they can make smarter coaching decisions.
Practice without measurement is just repetition. Practice with measurement is growth.
