The best AI sales roleplay tools in 2026

Nine tools worth knowing, including the ones we compete with, sorted by what they actually are. We make one of them, so read the RolePractice entry with that in mind. Everything else is described the same way we describe it on our comparison pages.

Short answer

If you want reps practicing live voice calls against buyers who push back, scored against your own selling framework, with pricing you can see and a trial you can start now, that is RolePractice. If you need an L&D authoring platform for scripted onboarding simulations at enterprise scale, look at Second Nature or Quantified. If you need a whole enablement suite with practice as one module, Mindtickle, Allego and SalesHood. If you want to analyze calls that already happened, that is Gong or Chorus, and it is a different purchase.

AI roleplay and practice platforms

Built for reps to practice conversations with an AI buyer and get scored. This is the category the question is usually about.

RolePractice

Voice-first practice calls with AI buyers who interrupt, object and push on price, scored across ten skills with a "what to say instead" line for every missed moment. Custom Call Prep builds a buyer from a real upcoming meeting. Business plans add Vocal Delivery scoring (pace, filler words, confidence), real-call scoring through a note-taker that joins Zoom, Teams and Meet, SlidePractice for presentations, and practice assignments for managers. Scoring can be configured to your own selling framework. Native iPhone and Android apps.

Best for
Individual reps and teams who want to start today without a sales call; teams that want scoring against their own framework; managers who want to see who is practicing and who is ready.
Pricing
From $30/month. 5 practice calls or 7 days, no credit card.

Second Nature AI

Second Nature AI is an Israel-based AI sales training platform founded in 2019. It focuses on conversational AI simulations for sales onboarding and certification. Its feature set includes content management, training modules, quizzes, coaching workflows, conversation intelligence (call recording analysis), digital sales rooms, and role-play exercises. Conversation intelligence (not roleplay, but often shopped alongside)

These record and analyze real calls after the fact. They tell you what happened; they don't give reps a place to practice. Many teams run one of these and a practice tool together.

Gong

Gong is a revenue intelligence platform that records, transcribes, and analyzes sales calls, emails, and meetings. Founded in 2015, Gong has become one of the most widely adopted tools in B2B sales, serving thousands of organizations. Its core value is conversation intelligence – surfacing insights from real customer interactions to help teams understand what top performers do differently, track deal progress, and coach more effectively.

Best for
Need conversation intelligence and analytics on real customer calls; Want deal intelligence, pipeline analytics, and revenue forecasting
Pricing
Contact sales; typically five-figure annual contracts.

How to choose

  1. Run a call before you read a feature list. Ten minutes in the product tells you more than a demo deck. If a vendor won't let you try it without a sales call, that is information too.
  2. Listen for pushback. A buyer that agrees with everything teaches nothing. The AI should interrupt, object, go quiet, and change its mind only when earned.
  3. Read the scorecard for a "say this instead." A number without a line to use next time is a grade, not coaching.
  4. Ask whether scoring can follow your framework. If your team sells a particular way, generic scoring will grade them against someone else's playbook.
  5. Check the manager view. Who practiced, who didn't, who is trending up. Without it, practice stays voluntary and fades.

Frequently asked questions

What is an AI sales roleplay tool?

Software where a sales rep practices a conversation (a cold call, a discovery call, a pricing negotiation) with an AI that plays the buyer, then gets feedback. The better ones use live voice rather than typed chat, let the buyer push back realistically, and score the call against defined skills so a rep can see what to change next time.

How should I evaluate one?

Run a real call in it before you look at a feature list. Check four things: does the buyer interrupt and object like a real person, does the scorecard tell the rep what to say instead (not just a number), can a manager see who practiced and how they trended, and can you start without a sales cycle. Then check whether scoring can follow the way your team actually sells.

Do we need this if we already have Gong or Chorus?

They do different jobs. Gong and Chorus analyze calls that already happened. A roleplay tool is where reps practice before the call happens, and where a manager can assign the practice that a Gong insight pointed to. Teams commonly use both.

How much do AI sales roleplay tools cost?

Most vendors in this category sell through a sales team on annual contracts and don't publish pricing. RolePractice publishes it: Starter at $30 a month for an individual, Team at $60 per user, Business at $80 per user, with a free trial of five practice calls or seven days.
